Nevada Council on Problem Gambling Receives NFL-Funded Agility Grant to Implement Student-Athlete Gambling Awareness Program in Several Southern Nevada High Schools
We are pleased to announce that we are the recipient of a 2023 Agility Grant from the National Council on Problem Gambling, funded by the NFL via the NFL Foundation with additional support from FanDuel, to provide Student-Athlete Gambling Awareness (SAGA) in Southern Nevada high schools!!
The SAGA program, originally developed by the Nevada Council and made possible by a generous contribution from the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, provides a framework for primary and secondary prevention of problem gambling for student-athletes, who are at high-risk for early engagement in gambling activities and subsequent development of gambling problems.
