Carol O'Hare began serving as a volunteer for the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling in 1993. She served as Secretary of the Board from 1995 to 1996, assisting in the successful restructuring of the organization and the development of the Council's first corporate membership fundraising program.
In April 1996, Ms. O'Hare accepted the Council's first staff position of Executive Director. In addition to providing organizational leadership, Carol is actively involved in developing effective industry and community collaborations at both the state and national level. As a recovering compulsive gambler, Carol brings a unique insight to her work and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, training seminars and numerous public awareness and education forums.
