SUPPORT GROUPS Gamblers Anonymous is a 12 step support group for individuals who have a desire to stop gambling. There are no dues or fees for membership and group meetings are held at various times and locations throughout Nevada. Gam-Anon is a peer support group for the spouse, family and friends of the problem gambler. Like GA there are no dues or fees for membership and group meetings are held at various times and locations throughout Nevada. |
PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT Individual or group therapy is conducted by Certified Problem Gambling Counselors who are experienced in treating problem gamblers and their families. Treatment addresses stopping the gambling behavior and learning new coping skills to prevent a return to gambling in the future. Counselors may also screen for other problems such as substance abuse or depression.
