Logoman jpgWHEN THE FUN STOPS® provides the information your employees need to know about the nature and symptoms of problem gambling and the resources available for help.  WHEN THE FUN STOPS® is recognized by the Nevada Gaming Control Board to satisfy the employee training requirement of NGC Regulation 5.170 – Programs to Address Problem Gambling.

NOTE:  This “Trainer Certification” class is open only to trainers of companies that have an active Curriculum License Agreement with the Council for use of WHEN THE FUN STOPS® to train your employees.

WHEN THE FUN STOPS™ – Employee Awareness Training

Open Enrollment Class – Individual gaming employees may register to attend.  Participation card will be issued to employees upon completion of class to verify attendance.  This program can be relied upon by gaming licensees to satisfy the requirement for employee training under NV Gaming Regulation 5.170 – Programs to Address Problem Gambling.

WHEN THE FUN STOPS™ is a one-hour training program that provides the information your employees need to know about the nature and symptoms of problem gambling and the resources available for help.  A unique feature of this training module is a 23-minute video which explores the phenomenon of problem gambling through the expertise of a Nevada treatment professional and the experiences of four Nevada residents who are successfully dealing with their own gambling problem.

  • Individuals must preregister for the class, held at the Council’s Las Vegas training facility.
  • REGISTER NOW by completing the form below and returning it to the Council with payment of the $40 registration fee.

NV State Conference on Problem Gambling

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION – Up to 12 CEU Hrs !

The 12th Annual Nevada State Conference on Problem Gambling is an annual education and outreach event for anyone concerned about this significant community health issue that affects the people of Nevada.  The conference promotes awareness, education and professional networking, and attracts addiction and mental health professionals and interested stakeholder groups including Prevention, Education, Research, Government, Gaming Industry and the Recovery Community.

Nevada Council on Problem Gambling is an approved provider of continuing education for the NV Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors and the National Council on Problem Gambling.  Application for CEU approval is pending from the following additional professional boards:    NV Marriage and Family Therapy, NV Social Work Board,  NV Board of Psychological Examiners.
